Tell us a bit about you!
I’m an event manager from a farming family. I grew up in Ballarat and spent school holidays helping my dad on the farm, from harvesting potatoes to feeding cattle, fixing machinery and other odd jobs. As I grew up I was drawn to live in large cities and I like to think my background is a good mix of both lifestyles.
Why YFM?
I joined YFM to meet and work alongside like-minded people, share my skills learned over 10 years in major event management and learn how I can enact meaningful change on the food system through habitual changes in my daily life.
Favourite food memory/experience?
The first thing that comes to mind is eating an Ice Cream cake at my friend’s birthday party when I was about 6. I was absolutely amazed that Cake and Ice Cream could be combined and I’ve wanted one ever since!
Last meal you would eat before the apocalypse?
Cheesy crust veggie pizza covered in chilli flakes!
