The Salvage Awards - Meet our judges

All applications for The Salvage Awards are assessed by a panel of guest judges who have a range of experience and knowledge in the food sustainability space and of the challenges facing Australia. Meet our panel for 2019!

Lee Tran Lam

Lee Tran is a dedicated food writer who has graced the pages of Good Food, Gourmet Traveller, SBS Food, and the Australian Financial Review. She also DJs for FBi Radio, produces a fabulous podcast interviewing star chefs, The Unbearable Lightness of Being Hungry, and started a kick-ass blog of the same name chronicling her food and dining expeditions.

JESS MILLER

Jess was first elected to Sydney Council in 2016, and is one of the youngest people to be elected at the City of Sydney. Also a former Deputy Lord Mayor, Jess co-founded GreenUpsGrow it Local and the Elizabeth Street Gallery, and she has worked on the Garage Sale TrailTweed Ride and Grow Show – which featured an enormous veggie patch and education programs outside Melbourne Town Hall.

ANNIKA STOTT

Annika is the Sustainability Strategist at colossal food waste organisation, OzHarvest. Driven by the fact that we can’t keep treating our planet and its finite resources the way we are, she has spent the last six years working in sustainability and food waste prevention. Annika has also had the midas touch on initiatives such as the National Food Waste Strategy, Open Cities Alliance and the Fight Food Waste Cooperative Research Centre.
